November 4: What's in your cards?

Almost a year ago I wrote here that my good friend the Hot Italian and I were going to be reading tarot cards at a bazaar at my church. I'm so excited because this Saturday we're doing it again, and last year it was a lot of fun.

I wrote in that post that I'm too cynical to believe in the reading of tarot cards, and yet my experience has taught me otherwise. I've done a bunch of readings since then, and the same thing has held true: those cards with their colorful pictures know something, and they give up their secrets to some of us who care to ask.

And that's why I do it. I love the stories the cards tell, and I love the stories people tell me as they find insight and inspiration in the reading.

The best part is when people come back to me a week later, or a couple of months later, and tell me we'd seen something in the reading that wasn't even a thought or a possibility at the time. Something that didn't even make sense at the time, but somehow became a reality after the reading. That's when I know it works -- it shouldn't work, but it works.

So back we go in a few days to do our public readings again. I know some people will walk by our table a little faster than they do the others. Superstition can be powerful. And others will walk by and snort. Cynicism can be powerful too. And some people will stop, pay their $10.00 and be astounded! Risk is often rewarded, and that's powerful too.

So at the risk of advertising, I'll just put out this reminder that I can do readings over the phone too. Even if you don't live near me, you can get a reading too. Most last about an hour, and although I can't make any promises, I've been told it's a pretty cool experience.

My email address is there on the right if you want to contact me for information like cost and what to expect. No pressure. It's just there if you want it. On the right. Somewhere above or below where this arrow is pointing. Right there. Don't feel you have to get a reading, but you certainly can if you'd like.

  1. THANK you for putting it that way. Non-believing but apparently effectively intuitive tarot readers...we should start a PAC.

    1. One of the reasons I love reading the cards is because I'm amazed every time. Miss Serendipity always shows up for a tarot reading.

    1. We need to just set up a time and get together. I'm willing. :-)
